BEHIND THE LENS

 

Every one of us has a story. 

Our stories reflect our own unique journey. 

 

Photography is a way for me to tell those stories and I aim to create images that people love and can relate to. Images that reinforce memories and cherished moments. 

 

I first put my eye to a viewfinder in highschool and fell in love with taking pictures.

At the time photography was just a hobby, it was my friends and I on adventures around Brisbane.

It was enough to plant the seed for my future. 

I left high school a wild, carefree teenager and set about wandering around Australia and Western Europe solo. I was on a quest for adventure and searching for a place to belong and call home. 

Through out it all I made sure I had a camera of some sort and was a big fan

 of disposable 35mm cameras.

 

In 2011, after almost a decade working as a camera assistant on Australian Film and Television productions, I was restless and yearned for different type of production vibe.

I decided to make a leap and change direction by focusing all of my attention on photography. 

 

Since then, I studied in Sydney and have been shooting consistently,

building my portfolio and client base.

My images have been exhibited  in 2012, 2013 and 2014 as part of the Head On Photo Festival in Sydney. In August 2013 in Darwin, Australia, I opened my first solo exhibition  titled  'i see music.. an expression of music through photography.'  The series was inspired by the music of finalists from the NT Song of the Year Awards.
